When I say yarn crafts - do you think knitting and crochet? I am a self confessed non-knitter. I can do the very basics and if I put my mind to it, I could probably knit a scarf. But since the weather is warm, and I have no need for a scarf, I am happy exploring some other yarn crafts!
So here is my favourite yarn crafts that are super easy!
Weaving is a great way to use up scraps of yarn. You can use different lengths, textures and even incorporate other materials such as fabric, leather or lace.
Pom poms and tassels can also be made and added to your weaving! (see below for a quick way to make them!)
These yarn wrapped hearts were simply made - as the name suggests - by wrapping the yarn around a laser cut wood heart. ( I used a 80mm and a 60mm) I then passed a needle with the grey wool, through the centre and added beads to make it pretty!
This was my Easter Tree from a few years back. It added a nice bit of colour to our kitchen bench, and became a bit of a tradition in our house! This year I need to replace it, as it has been bumped a few too many times!
I made it by wrapping the yarn around a stick from the garden and tying of the ends!
This is the quickest and easiest way to make the fluffiest pom-pom that I've found! It's a great little activity to get the kids to help with, as they can do the winding and you just need to do the tying!
So these are my favourite yarn crafts so far! I'm sure there will be many more in the future.
Thanks for stopping by! And Happy Crafting!
